Who We Are — Bio
H. JAMES KRAUSER
Jim began his executive search career in 1984 and initially focused on providing services to a wide array of financial services clients, thereby extending to them a perspective based on nearly two decades of diversified and related industry experience.
His search work spanned the real estate, banking, insurance and healthcare industries, and his list of successful placements includes an array of senior-level positions within client organizations. Furthermore, he developed a specific niche within the finance function and recruited a number of Chief Financial Officers and Heads of Tax for numerous Fortune 100 companies.
Jim joined Spencer Stuart in 1984 and held various leadership positions as an adjunct to his search work. These roles included Managing Director of the Stamford, CT office, Managing Partner of the Firm’s Global Real Estate Practice, Co-Chairman of the Worldwide Assimilation Program for new consultants and Managing Partner of the Quality Officer initiative. It was in this latter role where he oversaw the development and implementation of the Quality Officer role in each of Spencer Stuart’s 50+ offices. As an outgrowth of this role, he was the lead consultant of a team which conducted quality audits of most of the Firm’s European and Asian offices. The purpose of these office reviews was to globalize best practices and make them patterns of quality and excellence across the entire firm.
In 2006 in Rome, Jim was an honored recipient of Spencer Stuart’s inaugural “Oscar” award.
